About Anchor Down B&B and your accommodation hosts

Janet and Ian moved to Picton mid-2013, from Dunedin, Otago, NZ, after falling in love with the beauty of the Sounds. With Ian's strong passion for sailing and the Otago Street address Anchor Down is the perfect relocation for them.

Ian is Dunedin born and bred. He enjoys sailing and has been a sailing instructor for many years. He is also a past Dunedin Rotary President and has enjoyed being a Rotarian over an extended period of time. He currently works part time in Blenheim.

Janet has spent most of her adult years in Dunedin and has a long background working in Health, Health Management and also in Human Resources for the University of Otago.

Both Ian and Janet enjoy the beautiful walks through the sounds area as well as the opportunities to explore wineries, honey companies, nut farms and taste the delights of Marlborough seafood.

They have done some overseas travelling and hope to do more over the coming years.

Janet and Ian have two adult sons who enjoy the opportunity to visit them in their Picton B and B whenever they can. This is certainly a holiday paradise.
